We are very proud to announce Regal Homes secured planning permission for six new family homes on a brownfield site in Eastleigh — a site that has been carefully considered and is ideally located to help meet the town’s growing housing needs.

We understand that new development can raise questions locally. During the planning process, concerns such as overlooking and parking were fully assessed, while matters like fire safety will be robustly addressed at Building Control stage. Ultimately, the planning committee unanimously agreed that the scheme meets all relevant policies and delivers the right kind of development in the right place.

While some residents hoped the site might remain as open land, Eastleigh faces an overwhelming demand for homes. This development makes positive use of previously developed land and focuses on regeneration and avoids building on valuable green spaces elsewhere.

The approved scheme will deliver four three-bedroom and two two-bedroom houses, designed to reflect Eastleigh’s proud industrial heritage and working-town character. Councillors were supportive of both the layout and appearance, recognising that the homes would sit comfortably within the area.

There had been discussion around higher-density options such as flats or HMO’s, but we believe this scheme offers a far better outcome for the community. Regal Homes, a long-established local developer with deep roots in Eastleigh, has put forward a thoughtful, high-quality design that prioritises family living and long-term value.

We’re excited to bring forward a development that responds to local need, respects Eastleigh’s character, and delivers homes people can be proud to live in.
